yes yes happy birthday, emily. i hope it was a good one. must reiterate the point made supra. (let me let you in on a little secret: i am terrible at remembering birthdays, so your blog is the only way i get timely reminders about friends' special days. however, if you don't call attention to your own birthday, i will miss it without fail. because all i remember is that everyone seems to be a virgo.)
